EIMA International is the International Exposition of Machinery for Agriculture and Gardening, a biennial event created in 1969 by FederUnacoma, the Italian Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers Federation, and organized by the federation’s service division, FederUnacoma Surl, in collaboration with BolognaFiere.
This years EIMA Fair was held in Bologna (Italy), between 7 and 11 November, 2018 and proved to be one of the most significant in the ag trade show landscape, breaking all sorts of attendance records: 317,000 visitors, 11% more than the attendees of the previous edition in 2016, visited the booths of the 1,950 exhibiting companies, spread out over 375,000 square metres. The event also registered a 15% increase in the number of foreign operators, which were over 50,000, from 150 countries.
During the EIMA Fair, CEMA actively promoted its participation to a number of EU Horizon 2020 projects including INNOSETA. On the first day of the show, CEMA had the opportunity to hold a press conference in cooperation with the Agrievolution Alliance, updating journalists and stakeholders on the latest results shown by the CEMA Business Barometer, as well as on its involvement in several EU Horizon 2020 projects: IoF2020, Agrocycle, Nefertiti and Innoseta.
